GC 21: Things you like about summer

I know this says "things," but I have another blog entry I'm working on so I'd rather make this one quick and pick one main thing. The thing I'm writing about is how I now have so much time to waste on things I wouldn't even consider getting involved with during the school year. The first is Snapchat. Now that I've acquired an iPhone, I had almost no choice but to just download the app after people had been telling me for years to do so. I also knew that I'd totally be into it, which I am. I'm glad that it's summer because that means I can spend forever on it and not feel like there are better things to be doing with my time. Recent Reflections

We have been back in Manila for just over two weeks and have settled into a nice routine. Although I find myself missing my friends who came to visit, I am also happy to enjoy daily life with James and my grandma. I have been spending my days doing my remote internship, working out, eating delicious food, and relaxing at home. Here are some highlights of these last two weeks that I wanted to share. My visit to the Department of Justice This is technically the Supreme Court of the Philippines, but it's on the same street as the Department of Justice so I thought this was a good enough pic to use in this section. I finally started my internship at Cebu for Human Rights (C4HR), a Cebu-based organization. So far I have been remotely assisting my supervising attorney with various tasks involving cases and advocacy that the organization is involved in. First Semester Down!

I was so focused on unwinding from my first semester of law school that it only just occurred to me (almost two weeks after it ended) that I should write some reflections about it. In typical law student fashion I decided to outline this blog entry before filling out each sub-topic, so you'll have to forgive me for the departure from my previous blog formatting conventions. Here goes something! I. Curriculars I ought to say something about each of the classes that occupied my first semester of law school, just so future me can look back on them in amusement. And think about how far I'll have come, I guess.
